North Nha Trang across the Cái river: the Hòn Chồng rocks, the Po Nagar towers and its own beach — quieter than the centre.
Where it is
The northern part of town across the Xóm Bóng bridge over the Cái river, about 4 km from the beachfront in the centre. These used to be the wards of Vĩnh Phước and Vĩnh Thọ; since 1 July 2025 they are part of Bắc Nha Trang ward. Phạm Văn Đồng street runs north along the sea.
What is nearby
The Hòn Chồng rocks are a well-known Nha Trang landmark. Nearby, on Cù Lao hill at the mouth of the Cái river, stand the Po Nagar towers (Tháp Bà Ponagar), a Cham-era temple complex.
The beach
Hòn Chồng has its own beach. It is quieter here than on the beachfront in the centre.
Getting around
The beachfront in the centre is about 4 km away. Cam Ranh airport is about 43 km by road: the airport is in the south, so you cross the whole city.
